ON THE OCCASION OF ITS THIRTY YEARS IN BUSINESS, RITZWELL CHOOSES A NEW TYPE OF EXHIBITION BOOTH SIGNED BY NICOLA DE PONTI TO CONVEY THE QUALITY AND FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF THE BRAND.
Ritzwell is celebrating its 30th anniversary at Salone del Mobile. Milano creating an exhibition booth which enhances the values and founding principles of the Japanese brand. The concept, commissioned to architect Nicola De Ponti, is based on the elegance of a space standing between tradition and contemporaneity and the fluidity between two distinct yet unified thematic areas. On a homogenous neutral background, resulting from the choice of textured finishes such as natural lime on the walls and concrete on the floor, the two souls of the stand emerge clearly: on one hand, a cosy and refined "total living" area inviting to relaxation and, on the other, the live practical demonstration of skilled Ritzwell craftsmen working on the manufacture of two iconic pieces, the RIVAGE EASY CHAIR (design by Atelier D.Q.) and JK EASY CHAIR (design by Jun Kamahara). Both made in a limited edition, they are exhibited on a dais and in a wall recess in order to highlight the great quality and importance of handmade detail. Behind the craftsmen's workshop, in an abstraction echoing the factory environment, small boards made of the natural materials used by Ritzwell, such as leather, fabric, and single components in metal and wood are displayed on the wall in an original graphic composition. Full-height black MDF plates arranged in series intermittently create special shieldings to ensure permeability between the inside and outside of the stand and encourage curious visitors to enter. A selection of design lamps and suggestive interior décor items of the finest workmanship complete the installation. To further celebrate its 30-year anniversary, Ritzwell has organized a lottery to give away one RIVAGE EASY CHAIR limited-edition to the visitor holding the lucky ticket.
